Set For Paris!!!

Got a wonderful wake up at about 7:45 this morning from non other than the fire alarm (if you're keeping track...this is alarm #3). Even worse this one was a drill, aka...they could have done it ANY time. As in...not at a time in the early morning when none of us are awake so we have to come outside to freeze for about 15 minutes in our pajamas! At least I wasn't one of the people still to sleepy to remember shoes. I did go up to my room and go back to sleep for a couple more hours (hey...it's the first day of my weekend) but it was still not the way any of us wanted to start off our mornings.

I had quite a few extra apples from the apple pies that I made so I made some homemade applesauce today!  Gave me something to keep me busy other than watching movies (everyone else has class on Thursday's) and now I have yummy applesauce to eat! Now that I'm writing this blog I'm wishing I'd taken pictures like I did with my apple pies...but I didn't think of it then. You all know what applesauce looks like anyways. :)

Ally and I FINALLY got around to booking flights and reserving hotels. We were pushed to because I kept checking the flights and number of spots left on the Amsterdam group tour and when I looked at the flight to Amsterdam it said there was only one seat left (which isn't a problem...I had already booked my flight and spot on the Amsterdam trip, Ally just decided to go with me). So we met up and booked her flight for the last seat and got her on the tour group. Then, we booked our flights for Paris and our hotel for when we go!!! We'll be in Paris from December 1st through the 4th!!!! Beyond excited!!!

I packed my bags today for this weekend. This weekend is my first excursion with IFSA Butler, the program I came here through. We have to excursion weekends that were paid for in the lump sum I paid to study abroad. This weekend we are going to a place called Leenane, Ireland. It is on the West coast of Ireland and we are going to Killary Weekend Adventure! I've heard from many people that the West coast is someplace you should really try to go if you are in Ireland because it is so pretty...I'm really excited to be going. Bring some warm clothes, my book and a camera! I'm not going to bring my laptop with me, which means I probably will not have an option to go online, which also means that I will not be posting blogs over the weekend. However, I will be writing down my blogs each night and will post them all Sunday night when I get back like I did with my first weekend in Dublin.

It's gonna be an early start tomorrow...Tim is picking me up at 7 in the morning! I thought my wake up this morning was early! But that's ok...I have everything packed and my clothes for tomorrow set out. My plan is to get up about 5 min before I have to go, hop in the car, and most likely fall back asleep! Tee hee...it's about a 4 hour car ride I believe, we'll have plenty of time to catch up after I take a nap. ;)

I'll be back on Sunday! :)
