2/3 DONE!!!

Today was the last day of class for this week which is week 8 out of 12...that means I'm 2/3 of the way done with this LAST semester of college!!!! Other than that no exciting news for the day. I pretty much went to class and came back and hung out in my room the rest of the afternoon. My week has been pretty uneventful but this weekend will be great! Tomorrow night is Beauty and the Beast Musical at the Grand Opera House in Belfast with my IFSA program staff and then the rest of the weekend will be with the whole IFSA group in Belfast!

I did put up a letter for some of my flatmates in the kitchen today. I'm beyond tired of our kitchen always being a disaster and it not being my fault at all. I have never once left a dish dirty but my letter today says that I'm pretty much going to start doing that. It says:

"Since living here, anytime I want to cook I have to wash the pans before using them and after using them.

If I was my dishes after I use them they should be clean when I go to use them again since I'm making it that way for everyone else.

I'm tired of this. If I go to cook and have to wash someone else's dirty dish, I'm not washing it after I use it for you to have it clean when you start.

Show some respect and clean up after yourself."

It is driving me insane. I tried to make myself feel better by saying at least I'm not washing all their dishes for them but I am! They just leave everything a mess and I end up doing double the cleaning every time I go in there. I'm not there mom. I know I'm only here for one more month but that's one more month I'm not willing to be the maid.

Not to my surprise it didn't do anything...there is already a dirty pot on the stove that I know isn't getting washed tonight. But, at least now I have told them and I won't have to feel bad leaving my dishes dirty. Washing them once is enough...if I have to do it before I use them then that's my one time.

This was my bold move of the day. Now it's bedtime. :)
