Saving Irish Lives :)

I don't have class til 1pm on Tuesday's so I usually end up taking advantage of the fact that I can sleep in super late so I can get in some skype time with Robert. That was definitely the case last night and this morning. :) I woke up really late and went to lecture from 1-3 and then seminar from 3-4 (Tuesday's are my least favorite day...it's my most class hours of the week as Monday is 2 hours, Wednesday is 1 hour and Thursday is 2 hours every other week AND it's my politics class :P). The good news...Tuesday is now done and I don't have politics for another week!

There has been a blood drive going on yesterday and today. I was going to go yesterday because I was on campus for so long but I was doing so good at being productive I didn't want to break that. It went until 5pm today and so I went after my seminar was finished at 4 to see if I could donate. I wasn't sure if there would be any problems with me not being from the area but there wasn't at all and I saved 2 lives today (in the states they take a pint of blood which is split into 3 different transfusions...here they take 2/3 a pint so that's why it's 2). There was a little complication with a needle slip during my donation so the guy told me I'm probably gonna end up with a fairly impressive bruise...but I also got a cup of juice, a cookie, a mars bar, a pin and the satisfaction of doing a selfless thing. Makes me miss Papa...he used to go donate with me. Today I was a big girl and went all on my own haha.

Robert just got home from work and sent me the BEST message ever! I've wanted to say something but couldn't because it was a surprise but now I can. I sent Robert a package in the mail of things from here that you can't get back in the states using the box he sent me a package in. I've gotten two packages (one from mom and dad and one from Robert) and they both took a week to get here. I sent Robert's two Fridays ago!!!! It took two weeks and four days and I kept wanting to say something haha. I took a picture of what I sent him before I packed it up and I can now show it.

Ok, so tomorrow is Wednesday and I have one sociology lecture and I'm done for the week! That's really all I have to say for today so goodnight!
