Strike!

I didn't have class today because of a strike going on here over pensions. Sooo...my school weekend only lasted from Monday-Tuesday and now I only have two weeks of classes left! But I've got a loooot of studying ahead of me to get through these two weeks.

Ally and I were productive and spent our evening in the library from 6pm til it closed at 10pm. After going over the questions for my sociology final I'm a little more relieved now. What it is, is that he sent me the ten essay questions for my final and I have to pick 3 of them to write three essays on. My exam will be not this following Tuesday but the next, so in the last week of classes, and I have 3 hours to write the 3 essays. I was kind of panicking because the other essay tests in this class I've done well on but that's because I would prepare the whole exam, memorize them, and then just write out what I'd memorized. Those though were only two essays in 40 min and usually only had to memorize about 4 pages worth. For this final I thought I was going to need to memorize more like 12 pages and I knew that wasn't going to be possible. I went through the questions today and made some outlines and it turns out that I should only have to do quite a bit of memorizing for one essay, then one question I can turn it into mainly an opinion piece and for that I wouldn't need to do any memorizing, and then the third one I figured out how to take one of the essays I wrote for another and put it in and so I already have most memorized!! Things are looking better.

But...no more worrying about school for the next couple days because I leave tomorrow morning with Ally for Paris!!!! Our taxi is going to get here at 10am tomorrow and then we're off! Just finished packing and getting ready to go to sleep. Since I have travels this weekend I won't be posting anything until I get back so get ready for my Paris post on Sunday night.
