Day Three: Belfast to Dublin

Today was pretty much a travel day. We started off our morning with the hotel breakfast the same as the morning before at it was very tasty. After that we packed up and headed off to my campus for one last time. I had to turn in my keys and I wanted to buy a sweatshirt I'd seen but the stupid campus store wasn't open! It made me cranky...it was SUPPOSED to be open from 8am-3pm and we got there at about 11am and nothing. So no sweatshirt...sad.

The good thing about that was that we got back to the train station a lot earlier than planned and instead of having to wait until the 2:10pm train to Dublin we made the 12:35pm drain! That meant that we had time to go to the Guinness Storehouse for a tour and a pint at the top (except I got a diet coke...not a guinness fan) before dinner with the girls.

After the Storehouse we took a taxi to the restaurant we were going to dinner at. I know nothing about Dublin and so I let Catherine and Jess pick the restaurant and so we met them at a place called Green Nineteen at 6:30pm. The taxi driver who took us there talked to us the whole time and we couldn't tell you hardly a word of what he said! It was incredible and incredibly funny. The restaurant was a cute little place with good food but STRANGE ketchup. I wouldn't call it ketchup...it's their "homemade ketchup" that looks like salsa and doesn't taste like either salsa or ketchup. I'm really glad we got the chance to have dinner together one more time! I didn't get to see those girls enough.

After dinner we headed back towards the hotel and had a really rude cab driver. He sounded like he didn't know where our hotel was so I told him it was close to the Jameson Distillery and he informed me he knew not so nicely. Then, he turned the radio up while mom and I were talking obviously wanting us to stop. Just not that good...

But once we got back we went to a little pub across the street from our hotel called Delaney's that was a very quiet little pub with just about 5 or 6 old men up at the bar that stared at us when we came in haha. You could tell they probably go there nightly and we obviously didn't fit in but the bar tender was very nice and it was nice to be in a pub that wasn't cram packed with people.

Now we're back in the hotel ready for bed. It's only 9:30 but we have a wake up call for 6am so it's a good thing! Tomorrow we're off to Galway!!!
