Day two: Black Taxi Tour/Costal Route

We spent the day with Paddy Campbell, the owner of Belfast Famous Black Cab Tour Company. He took us on an all day tour that started at 9am and we got back at 5pm and we had a brilliant day! Saw and learned sooo much! We started off the day with the murals political/historical tour of Belfast where he took us around to the different murals and told us the history of the troubles. It was pouring down rain in the morning time so we spent most of it inside the taxi looking out at the pictures and only got out a few times so we didn't take that many pictures. But I went on the same tour earlier in November where I got lots of pictures. We did get out at the conflict wall so that we could sign the wall. I couldn't find the place where I had signed....so we all just signed again next to each other.

After the murals tour we stopped off at a post office so that I could mail my Christmas cards and then headed up for our hour and a half drive up North for the rest of the of the days sight seeing. We went to lots of great places and also stopped off at places I didn't go the first time I went up north. We did the things that I had done which were the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Giant's Causeway and Dunluce Castle.

If you look close...that Island is Rathlin Island and then to the left of it you can just slightly see Scotland!

We get a bit tired of AAALLLLLL the pictures dad tends to take hahaha!

We also got to go and see some things I didn't see last time which were Ireland's smallest church and the Bushmill's Distillery.

We took a different road back where he showed us a road with an amazing row of trees and let us get out to take a picture.

We ended up back at the hotel (after a nice snooze in the cab) and we had planned on going to the Christmas Market. We did go for about 10 minutes while they were closing down. Most nights it was open until 9pm but this was the last night of the market (who ends a Christmas Market before Christmas?) and it ended at 6pm so we pretty much missed it. But that's ok...dad was pouting at having to go there in the first place so we headed off to The Crown pub and he was a happy little camper. Had a few pints and then we went to dinner at Conor's Cafe. That is the restaurant that I went to for my IFSA farewell dinner and it was very good so I took my parents there. Also needed one last slice of the banoffee pie and it was WONDERFUL!!!

Dad snores SOOOO loud and I'm not used to it so I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night....looking so forward to the next 9 nights....gonna need to find some ear plugs! ;)

BANOFFEE PIE AND HONEY COMB ICE CREAM!!!!!

Back at the hotel and ready for bed! Had a GREAT day but now it's time for some much needed sleep. Hopefully I can last through the snoring...mom asked the front desk if they have ear plugs but it was a no go haha. Tomorrow...on to Dublin!!!
